Dating from the late 1700s, this impressive Palladian mansion is set in extensive grounds close to the famous Culloden Battlefield. Public rooms include the cozy Library Bar and the Adam Lounge, which features ornate Robert Adam plasterwork, a large open fire and chandeliers. The main Dining Room specialises in modern Scottish dishes with ingredients sourced from local suppliers where possible; there is also an option to dine privately in the elegant Morning Room, or hold a larger private function in the Forbes Room. The hotel's 28 comfortable bedrooms come in a range of sizes and styles, with a number situated in a separate house.
