Ballybunion Cashen Course

Established in 1984 and designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior

Ballybunion Cashen

Robert Trent Jones designed the Cashen Course and he considered it to be one of his masterpieces. The views are more dramatic, the dunes bigger, the greens more undulating, and the valleys deeper at the Cashen Course than the Ballybunion Old Course. Many golfers will report that the long carries make this course more of a golfing challenge than its more well-known 'big sister', the Old Course. Opened for play in 1982, the Cashen Course is located along the sweeping, undisturbed Atlantic shoreline.
