due 60 days prior to arrival. | In England, many of the fine hotels are period
buildings and therefore have several different room types. We recommend upgrading
to larger rooms and to those with better views. We offer a wide range of self-drive vehicles
as well as escorted vehicles and coaches for transportation. For groups of 8 people
or more, we strongly recommend that you give consideration to hiring one of our
customised luxury coaches for your tour. These vehicles have been designed and
built specifically to suit the needs of golfing groups. For those travelling by luxury coach, there are no
great limitations on the amount of luggage these vehicles can accommodate.
For those in self-drive vehicles, we recommend you limit your luggage where possible
- e.g. Typical luggage for one golfer: 1 suitcase, golf clubs in a soft carry
case and hand luggage.
Special Note: There has been an increase over
the years with airlines losing luggage in transit. It is therefore advisable to
make provision for this ie. a small carry-on suitcase with essentials, including
any medication. Lost luggage should be reported to the airline at the airport
where you will be issued with a tracking code. The offending airlines are notoriously
poor at updating the online tracking system and answering the lost luggage helpline.
Our office is happy to check online for updates but can accept no responsibility
for the delivery of the missing items as this is strictly between the traveller
and the airline. Many of the golf courses you
will wish to play are private golf clubs and therefore have varying restrictions
on visitor play - normally demand outstrips supply, therefore it is never too
early to begin planning your golf tour. Most golf clubs allow visitors to use the clubhouse
facilities including the locker rooms and dining areas. For visitors playing Royal
Liverpool, lunch is included within the green fee.
