2009 Open Championship was eventually won by American Stewart Cink after a four
hole play off with Tom Watson. Watson had led the tournament almost from start
to finish but a bogey at the 72nd hole cost him his place in golfing history as
the oldest golfer to win a major championship. Watson will be aiming to go one
better when he plays what may be his last Open at St Andrews in 2010. | ||||||||||||||||
