The
2010 Ryder Cup was played at the Celtic Manor Resort in Wales when the Europeans
succeeded in bringing the cup back to this side of the Atlantic. Graeme McDowell
produced the decisive point for a European win in his singles match against Hunter
Mahan. The final result was 14 1/2 points to 13 1/2 points.
Despite play
being severley hampered by the weather, the Ryder Cup was boosted by a great day
when play was extended to the Monday for the fisrt time in its history for the
singles matches.
The USA will be looking forward to trying to regain the
trophy in 2012 when the matches return to American soil at Medinah Country Club. |
