Hotels on the West Coast of Scotland

A land famed for its ancient castles, rugged coastline and long sandy beaches. It is also Burns Country - home to Scotland's national poet Robert Burns and there are fascinating museums and monuments dedicated to him . The spectacular mountain profile of the island of Arran fills the horizon of the Ayrshire coast - the seascape views are truly unforgettable and the island itself is surprisingly unspoilt and easily accessible.

Turnberry Hotel - 5 star Deluxe Hotel

Turnberry combines world class golf with fine standards of hospitality and service, and a marvellous Spa in a truly breathtaking setting. We recommend Turnberry's sea view rooms and their spacious Spa rooms. During your stay we recommend that you request a window table in the dining room - sunsets are unforgettable.

The Marine Hotel - 4 star First Class Hotel
The Marine Hotel, Troon

Prior to the 2004 British Open Championship at Royal Troon Golf Club, The Marine Hotel (which sits adjacent to the 18th hole) underwent a full £3.5 million refurbishment. All 89 bedrooms and public areas were upgraded with sixteen new rooms being created. Looking out over the golf course towards the Isle of Arran, The Marine offers good accommodation and food along with a health and fitness club. From a golfer's viewpoint, the best thing about this hotel is its proximity to Royal Troon - accessible through the hotel fence!

Lochgreen House Hotel - 4 star Country House

Lochgreen is set beautifully in its' own grounds on the outskirts of Troon and is located perfectly for playing Royal Troon, Prestwick and Western Gailes. This country house is respected for its' warm personal service and outstanding food. Lochgreen offers a far superior experience than its star rating suggests.
