Ashford Castle

Ashford Castle

This fabulous 12th-century castle overlooks the beautiful Lough Corrib in the west of Ireland. Each of the bedrooms and suites is designed with an individual style to promote elegance and comfort. There are 2 fine dining restaurants, The George V Dining Room, which offers classical Irish cuisine, and The Connaught Room, offering classical French cuisine; there is a further dining option provided at Cullen's, housed in a charming thatched cottage in the grounds of the estate. The formal Cocktail Bar, originally built for the Prince of Wales, is a great location for pre-dinner drinks. The Dungeon Bar is more relaxed and provides traditional Irish music at night during the summer season. There are plenty of activities on offer on the Ashford Estate, including fishing, falconry, clay pigeon shooting, archery and a nine-hole golf course.
