Stoke Park (Stoke Poges)

Encircling the club's 300 acre Buckinghamshire parkland estate

Stoke Poges

Designed by Harry S. Colt and opened in 1908, Stoke Poges has established and maintained a reputation as one of the finest parkland golf courses in the world. Judgement of the distance from the tee is all-important on this first-class course. Fairways are wide and the challenge seemingly innocuous, but it is important to gauge your line and distance correctly to avoid getting into trouble for your second shot. The 7th hole of the course is the model for the well-known 12th hole at Augusta. Voted 'Golf Club of the Year' in 1997, Stoke Poges has often been considered as one of the best traditional courses in the British Isles.
