The Open, often referred to as The British Open, returns to Royal Liverpool Golf Club in July 2023 which will be The 151st Open. For the first time since 2014, the world’s greatest golfers will gather to do battle for the famous Claret Jug over one of the country’s finest and most testing links courses. The most recent winner of The Open at Royal Liverpool was the British golfer Rory McIlroy in 2014 when he saw off the challenge of Matteo Mannasero, Brooks Koepka and Jim Furyk amongst others to win the Claret Jug for the first time. In 2023, McIlroy, Justin Rose and Tommy Fleetwood will lead a group of British golfers looking to win golf’s oldest major.

The Open, often referred to as The British Open, returns to Royal Troon in July 2024 which will be The 152nd Open. Royal Troon most recently staged The Open in 2016 when the Swede, Henrik Stenson defeated Phil Mickelson in their famous duel on the west coast of Scotland. Royal Troon has produced an illustrious list of Open Champions over the years which include Tom Watson, Arnold Palmer and Tom Weiskopf to name but a few.
