Royal Liverpool to Host The 151st Open in 2023
The Royal & Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews has announced that The Open will be hosted at Royal Liverpool Golf Club (Hoylake) in 2023. This will be the 151st playing of the championship and the 13th time that the famous links at Hoylake on the west coast of England has hosted the world’s oldest and most popular golf event.
Royal Liverpool most recently staged The Open in 2014 when Rory McIlroy won his first Claret Jug. Other notable winners of The Open at Hoylake include Tiger Woods, Peter Thomson, Walter Hagen and Bobby Jones.
